Pura Tanah Lot Sea Temple Bali:
Tanah Lot Temple (Indonesian: Pura Tanah Lot) is probably the most popular and photographed temple on the island which located in coastal side of Beraban countryside, Kediri sub district and Tabanan Regency.
Tanah Lot Temple stands for earth (Tanah) and sea (Lot), quite appropriate considering its spectacular setting on top of an impressive rock overlooking the sea.
Its one of seven ocean temples on the coast of Bali that create a sort of spiritual bulwark against bad vibes rolling on the ocean currents.
Pura Tanah Lot is built on the rock with 3 acre size and reachable in a few minute by walk, because it is just 20 meters from the coastal lip. Tanah Lot Temple is simply among Bali’s not-to-be-missed icons.
This cultural icon is among the seven sea temples located in the coast of Bali and has been contained in Balinese mythology for centuries.
The Tanah Lo Temple continues to stand strong today, although it has had its fair share of aging, as back in the 80's the temple started to crumble and about one third of the rocks at the base of the temple had to be replaced with artificial rocks. Bharath Medias video.
