This JavaScript tutorial for beginners teaches you how to find characters in a string at a specified index. This is a string method of JavaScript and by appending the charAt() to the strings or variables, we can identify the character at a specified index inside the string. The index number for the first character in a string is always zero . The index number is mentioned within the round bracket of charAt(). So it is supposed to be charAt(index) where index is actually the index value of the character that you are trying to return from the string. You can also find the last character by first totalling the number of characters and then substracting 1 from this total.
